Jesus,
Help me to see my selfishness and turn it away.
Destroy this god of self that I have raised. Beat down the pillar of my evil pride as I raise it again and again.
Let me learn to love and serve.
Let me learn to turn myself away,
to leave the father, mother and brothers, to look on my desires and scorn them, acting as if I had none.
Purify my heart, let me desire one thing - to love you.
Empower me, Lord, Master, Teacher, Ruler, Owner, inspirit me.
Renew me at your fountain, daily transform me.
Sacrifice me for your glory.
